The Horningsham Ram

In Horningsham
they keep a ram
which thinks himself a wooly man,
and rather fancies Marie-Anne.

Said the ram to Marie-Anne,
"I’m a man and not a ram,
I can love you, I can, I can".
Said Marie-Anne unto the Ram,
"The truth is, dear, I don't like lamb,
and much prefer my husband Dan".

Marie-Anne went back to Dan
and Sam the ram went back to lamb,
the village still likes Uncle Sam,
for this is normal goings on
in Horningsham.
